
ALICIA FIGUERAS-LAMBERT radiates a deep passion for the senior population. She dedicates herself wholeheartedly to ensure that every individual she encounters leaves with a smile. As the coordinator of the Sunshine Club, Alicia leads with unwavering commitment, fostering joy and connection among her members. Her enthusiasm and caring nature truly make a difference in their lives.

JOYCE FERNANDO with more than 25 years in accounting and finance at The Walt Disney Company, ConAgra Foods, and NBCUniversal, Joyce combines corporate expertise with hands-on business leadership. She also served as a board director for AgStar Financial Services.
She now co-leads Ace Handyman Services East Orlando with her husband, focusing on quality service and strong customer relationships. In addition, she works as an independent agent with National Life Group, guiding families on tax-advantaged strategies for education, retirement, and wealth transfer.
Joyce serves as Secretary of the US Air Force Academy Central Florida Parent Club and is a member of the Civil Air Patrol.

BILL KOVALY,Born into a working class neighborhood. Everyone worked in a factory, women also unless they were having children. Most of the men were World War II veterans.
Started working at age 10, sports were wrestling, track & baseball.
Join the Navy right out of high school. Did three tours of Vietnam. Six years later, drove 18 wheelers up in the northeast. Then move to Florida purchased a Pepperidge Farm snack franchise. (46 years).Then got married for 19 years and now divorced.
Still enjoy traveling and playing golf.
Then I met Alicia, and she strong armed me to be on the board of the Sunshine Club.

EDWARD "BUBBA" JAMES, JR. is a lover of family, friends and fun. Born and raised in Erie, PA. Edward affectionately known as “Bubba” has resided in Orlando, FL since 2005.
He is an army veteran of the United States military and built a career as a Material Controller for 38 years working with General Electric. He enjoys an active and engaged lifestyle making health and wellness a priority. His servant lead-
ership roles have spanned many different arenas.
He has coached and mentored youth wrestling, served as an usher for church, worked as a referee for multiple sports and participated in many philanthropic activities. He is the proud father of 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Currently, he is enjoying retirement through travel, staying in shape and meeting new people.

BETTY BASILLE is quite a family oriented woman. Her family comes first and her cooking comes second. She has been a Sunshine Club member from close to the start. She enjoys the company of others and the activities of the Sunshine Club.
Betty is of Lebanese decent and has 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Oh, and she loves posing for photos!

Elizabeth Jeanne Zaytoun Born in St. Pete, Florida, Elizabeth Jeanne Zaytoun was married to Kelly Zaytoun for 60 years after meeting him while attending Boone High School. She is the proud mother of two, the proud grandmother of four and the proud great grandmother of one. Jeanne is a native Floridian and enjoys being with her family, cooking and visiting with her friends.

MARTA CRUZ KELLY is the first person of color to serve as Chief Interpreter for the National Park Service. She is an award-winning African American and Latina storyteller, cultural interpreter, and advocate for mindful living and inclusive narratives. Happily retired, she lives in Orlando where she advocates for housing justice and education reforms.

JACKIE BROCKINGTON A journalist for over thirty years, now retired, Jackie Brockington is a well-known face around Central Florida. This Brooklyn, New Yorker’s first broadcasting job was interviewing Green Bay Packer wives. Her former husband was an All Pro running back with the Green Bay Packers. From the same station, she transitioned into weather there, but that was only the first stop. Jackie has worked in Washington, D.C., (WUSA-TV), Baltimore, Maryland (WMAR), and San Diego, California, (KGTV). She also worked as a news anchor here in Orlando, (WESH-TV). Central Florida News 13 and WMFE (local NPR station, radio & TV).
Jackie loves travel and is a certified travel advisor and quite active in her
community. She is a past board member of The Maitland Art & History Museum
of Maitland, a past Board member of The Beta Center, a past volunteer with The
American Cancer Society of Orlando and herself a cancer survivor. Jackie was
honored as one of the recipients of the prestigious 44th President Barack Obama
Lifetime Achievement Award for community service. The ever-popular former
journalist receives constant requests as a speaker. Jackie enjoys cooking, reading, entertaining and traveling. As a cancer survivor, Jackie says she wants to make sure that she has contributed something worthwhile with her life.
